Becoming a surf coach has changed my life. I’ve been able to share the stoke with people from around the world. Seeing the joy that surfing brings to others gives me goosebumps.
From the time we arrived at the event to the actual surfing to leaving the service, welcome and guidance from all of the team involved in putting the event together was spectacular. Cannot find fault with anything.
Our highlight was seeing our boy so happy with his coach in the water! So confident and happy! Everyone was so kind and helpful.
I learnt so much about team work, trust and friendship.
I enjoyed being part of a team that worked well together and was enthusiastic and aware during the whole process.

I would like to may use of this opportunity to congratulate you and your Team on a fantastic day Sunday 21 July 2019. In the middle of winter – a perfect sunny windless day was dished up for the adaptive surfing program on the day.
When I arrived at 10h30 – your shop was a beehive of activity and I was bowled over amongst all of the hive of activities and lots of hype which I have no doubts – how slick you ran the operation. I am sure that you have overcome many challenges faced day by day with the adaptive surfing concept, which you have mastered brilliantly. The attention to detail getting the AFM employees kitted out in their wetsuits & vests, instructions on the beach, safety being No 1 and the hot dogs and warm foamy hot choc beverages afterwards much appreciated.
The joy and jubilation and expression on the faces of our employees in the water, speaks volumes of the fun day they had and I am sure also the first time some of them set foot into the ocean never mind on a surfboard.
The professional way your staff and amazing volunteers assisted and handled the employees with disabilities giving them comfort and safe assurance was a real wow factor, to ensure the persons with disabilities have “The Ride of a Life time” so much appreciated.
Once again congratulations and kudo’s to you and your team for making this a very special day for not only our employees with disabilities but also our Company members who attended in support…..
